Want some new healthy snack ideas? I ran a contest on Facebook and asked my fans to send me their favorite snacks. All the snacks below have 190 calories or less and contain at least 3 grams of protein. They are tried and true! For more healthy snacks and meals check out my new Boards on Pinterest.

  • A chocolate rice cake spread with 1 TB of natural peanut butter
  • An apple with 3 TB of hummus
  • A graham cracker sheet spread with 1 TB of natural peanut butter and dotted with craisins
  • 25 pistachios mixed with 2 TB of dried cranberries
  • A banana sliced down the middle and filled with 1 TB of natural peanut butter and dusted with cinnamon
  • Cucumber slices with 2 wedges of Laughing Cow Light Garlic and Herb Cheese
  • 1 cup of mango cubes topped with 3 oz. of 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup of strawberries dipped in 4 oz of 0% fat Greek yogurt, laid on a baking sheet and frozen
  • Celery filled with 2 TB of almond butter
  • 1 strip of all natural fruit leather with 1/2 oz. of mixed nuts
  • 1 sliced pear, sprinkled with cinnamon and 4 oz. of skim milk
  • Melt a reduced fat cheese stick over a 90 calorie package of mini rice crackers
  • A hard-boiled egg with the yolk scraped out and filled with 2 TB of hummus
  • A whole wheat pita pocket packed with 1/2 oz of skim ricotta cheese
  • A serving of pita chips with 2 TB of Trader Joe’s Red Pepper hummus
  • Swirl 1 TB of honey into 6 oz. of 0% fat free plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 small baked sweet potato with 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese and cinnamon
  • Spread a graham cracker with 1 TB of fat free cream cheese and 1/3 of a cup of sliced strawberries
  • 1 wheat Cedar wrap spread with 2 TB of hummus and grated carrots and sliced into bite size pieces
